You can buy photos of papal events you attend at Vatican
By Catholic News Service
Visitors can request photos of papal audiences or other papal ceremonies by going in person to the photo office of the Vatican newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano (just inside St. Anne’s Gate), or by faxing or e-mailing a request to (39-06) 6988-4988 or photos@ossrom.va.
Requests must include the day and the nature of the event for which the photo was taken (i.e., general audience of May 15, 2004) and preferably the numerical code of the actual photo, which pilgrims can obtain by going to the L’Osservatore Romano photo office and reviewing contact sheets of photos for that event. If you’re looking for a photo of yourself in a papal audience, the best way is to wait a day and then go and review the photos.
Prices for photos are:
- 10 x 15 cm, 2 euros
- 14 x 20 cm, 3 euros
- 20 x 30 cm, 4 euros
- 24 x 36 cm, 9 euros
- 30 x 45 cm, 16 euros
- 40 x 60 cm, 23 euros
- 50 x 70 cm, 37 euros
- 70 x 100 cm, 64 euros
It is also possible to request photos from the archive, which goes back to the death in 1978 of Pope Paul VI.
